When Apple changed the venerable 30-pin iOS connector to the reversible Lightning connector, it threw a lot of accessory makers into fits. One of those makers is Elevation Lab, which first garnered attention in 2011 with a wildly successful Kickstarter selling a CNC-machined iPhone dock made from a solid piece of aluminum. As most observers noted, the aluminum looks positively Apple-esque. It's a premium accessory. It impressed Andrew Tarantola enough that he considered
Elevation Labs is clearing out all their old 30-pin docks for $49. That's $40 less than a proper iPhone 5 dock and $10 less than the initial Kickstarter price. Plus, they'll throw in an impressively-engineered Lightning adaptor. It might not be the last dock you'll ever own, but it will work with your new iPhone, at least until Apple decides to switch up the charger again. [Elevation Lab]

Clothing
The concept behind prep style?if I may, not being from New England or a WASP?is that fashion shouldn't change. What Gatsby or JFK looked good in will still look good today. Fraying is good (to an extent.) Wearing a sweater or shirt year after year, season after season, is a inherently stylish action.
Brooks Brothers is one of the most celebrated purveyors of that kind of fashion. Sure, their stuff is expensive, but they're not disposable. They're meant to be worn and washed and worn and washed. They also don't feature many sales, so this Friends and Family 25% off promotion is certainly notable. The promo code FNFBB6 knocks 25% off almost everything?including the Black Fleece line. In 20 years, while you're wearing your favorite shirt on Cape Cod, you won't even remember you got it on sale. [Brooks Brothers] Good mom opportunity!
